Greater Than or Equal To

Greater Than or Equal To logo

It’s funny how the seed of an idea gestates for ages and then suddenly snowballs into reality. This is what happened with ‘Indie Kid Samurai’, a concept I came up with about two years ago. I then read Phonogram which reminded me of my early twenties (without the magic), combined with a touch of Truth Serum and a BBC Radio 4 documentary on Japanese civil servants, and finally my new webcomic Greater Than or Equal To was born.

Following indie kid Giles on his weekly visits to a London rock club we are introduced to a rotating cast of freaks and geeks he calls friends (and enemies in the case of Sebastian Milk). These include the object of his infatuations Susi Z, his luchador best friend La Hormiga Aburrido, and aforementioned Sebastian Milk, a pretentious art school student with delusions of grandeur. The comic will take in a range of subjects from existential questions on time to the state of modern music. Always with a hopefully humorous slant.

As Christian Lefebvre is drawing these almost as quickly as I can write them, I’m confident in saying this will be a weekly affair. Go to http://www.gtoet.com to read the webcomic or get our RSS feed here.

There’s three of them and they all want your vote. The Unspeakables. No debate. http://bit.ly/cBhE5C

This is my new comic and my entry into round 2 of this years Dimestore Press’ Small Press Idol, The Unspeakables. This round is vote based and with your help will allow us to progress to round 3 (kinda obviously) where we will have four pages of sequentials featuring quantum space stations, tattooed eyes, living numbers and graverooms. If you have the time I would really appreciate your vote at the link above.

Small Press Idol Round 1

March 15th, 2010 · Uncategorized

We have graduated to round 2 of Small Press Idol 2010 with three yes’. The above image is the rough pencils for The Unspeakables #0 front cover by Joe Griggs. And if you look below you can read our pitch for the multiple time and dimensions adventure:

Almost twenty years after his family’s mysterious disappearance, Timothy Sartre returns from a self imposed exile. Back then he was a thirteen year old boy, now he is a man equipped with the knowledge and, more importantly, the means to recover his life. Timothy knows he must go into the spaces between space but won’t be going alone. Enlisting a group of misfits to assist him, starting with Heather ‘The Body’ Jones, a supermodel cum actress who believes she is Frankenstein’s monster and the mathematical genius Oscar ‘Bluff’ Tellier, a man left blinded to light but open to numbers after a gambling accident. Operating out of a space station constructed entirely of quantum copies of other buildings, The Unspeakables fight enemies that lurk in the periphery of three dimensions in an attempt to find the truth not only about Timothy’s family but also about themselves. Just don’t believe anything your ‘eye’ tells you.

Round two consists of character and logo designs so if you like what you here then stay tuned for further updates.

Bare Those Bones

T-shirts are like a second skin. Careful not to rip this one.

This is my first t-shirst design up at teepay.com. One for the rock, electro and emo kids amongst you I think. So that’s pretty much all bases covered. The t-shirt consists of vector rib cage as seen through a tear in the shirt which is 100% organic cotton.

It requires fifteen pledges to buy before it will go in to production. Get pledging at http://bit.ly/c1qNrL
