Recently, friend and fellow designer, Kevin Barry and I have been discussing stepping back into the realm of digital art. At this point in time most of this is merely scraps of ideas and strands of code. Having graduated with a BA in Graphic Design & Interactive Media in 2007 when most interactivity on the web was produced using Flash, the amount of proprietary free, open source, cross-platform development that is happening at this time is incredibly inspiring.

With many technologies we were researching now commonplace within peoples homes and pockets, we feel there is a niche of independent experiemental interaction and gameplay to be explored that sits somewhere beyond cat videos on YouTube and playing FoxyBingo for money. Where these ventures will appear I don’t know but hence the addition to my ‘about’.

This doesn’t mean I’ll be giving up my first love, comics. Far from it. With the release of Rockstar Scientists #1 at the beginning of 2012, next year will see a number new titles step into the light blinking their reptilian eyes. I am always loathe to discuss projects before time but suffice to say you will be seeing rumblings from this corner very soon.
